Christ Panatocrator "Christ Panatocrator"
Christ is with a cross, inscribed in a nimbus, the initials meaning "The Ever-existing". The book, which He is holding, has with a text, compiled from different parts of the Gospel of John, beginning as usual with the words: "I am the light of the world."
Holy Archangel Michael "Holy Archangel Michael"
The icon depicts a scene, which is discussed not only by the Christian philosophy: the struggle and connection between the extremes, determining the integrity of life. Archangel Michael is in the foreground, fighting with the devil.
Multi-image icon Multi-image icon: "Crusifixion", "Father Sabaoth", "The Four Evangelists", "The Nativity", "Entrance in Jerusalem", "The Last Supper", "Descent from the Cross" and "Christ's Resurrection"
The levels of the separate scenes are different and allow the formation of a cross in the central part.
The Holy Trinity "The Holy Trinity"
In the foreground there are three Angels, identified with God the Father, the Messiah and the Holy Spirit. The icon reveals the triune nature of the Creator, a philosophy lying at the basis of Christianity.
The All-praised Mother of God "The All-praised Mother of God"
Among the numerous epithets of the Mother of God there is one ("All-praised", on the icon it is in Greek: "Panimnitos"), which is probably the most sonorous of all and revealing in the most poetical form the universal respect to God's Mother. This epithet was taken from the Acatist Hymn, dedicated to the Mother of God.
Saint George the Victorious "Saint George the Victorious"
The icon depicts the fight between good and evil with good prevailing over the evil.
The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary "The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary"
Two more scenes are included in the composition of the birth, preceding it chronologically: the angel's annunciation of the conception to Joseph and Joseph and Anna's embrace. In the foreground there is a woman in child-birth, lying on a couch. Some women are serving her food from a richly laid table. The little baby is in a golden cradle. A woman is keeping watch over her and spinning. The architectural buildings are connected. There is a tree and a vase with flowers between them.
Saint George the New (Yaninski) "Saint George the New (Yaninski)" The saint is portrayed in full height on the background of an architectural landscape carrying a cross and a palm leaf - the symbol of martyrdom. His apparel is characteristic for his native place.
Entrance in Jerusalem "Entrance in Jerusalem"
The scene depicts the meeting of Jesus Christ and His disciples in Jerusalem.
Saint Mina "Saint Mina"
The saint is portrayed in full height, with millitary garments. The decorative impact of the icon is emphasized by the background, which is gold-plated and carved and by the frame, which is finished as a tower with loop-holes.
Birth of John the Precursor "Birth of John the Precursor"
The icon presents a late interpretation of the event. Elisabeth is on the left, sitting on the bed and supported by two long pillows under a canopy. The cradle with the baby John is in front of the bed. To the right there are servants, coming with a tray. To the left the dumb Zachariah is writing the name of his son: "John is his name."
The Fall "The Fall"
The icon depicts the scene of the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The scene with their driving away from Eden is also included.
The Mother of God with the Baby and Prophets "The Mother of God with the Baby and Prophets" Saint George on a Throne "Saint George on a Throne"
A flying angel crowns the saint with a martyr's wreath. The graphic representation of the angel is very original.
Christ Desecrated "Christ Desecrated"
The greek sign, translated literally ("Christ hung on the cross"), points to another iconography: "Cross walk". This is due to a close chronological link between the two scenes - the desecration and the road to Golgotha - following one another in time according to the Gospel. Christ is clothed in a purple robe, His hands are tied and He is holding a stick of cane instead of a staff (for humiliation). An architectural bakground is portrayed, presenting the pretorium. This is the building in front of which Christ was desecrated.
Crusifixion A Cross with "Crusifixion"
The cross is a picture of the crusifixion. In the lower part there is a carving of a scene of a saint climbing a staits, which is symbolizing the ascending development of man.
Saint Elijah "Saint Elijah"
The central composition presents st. Elijah in the cave, fed by the raven. In the upper end there is a picture of the fiery ascension of the saint, who is taken in a carriage by flying horses. Elisha the prophet is below him, catching his robe.
